Horatio is Two!
That tiny guy with his Zoolander lips and olive-slice eyes has grown in to this mischievous toddler.
Newborn Horatio loved long hours snuggled in Momma's arms.
Two-year-old Horatio loves throwing balls and rolling cars.
He is stingy with his kisses, but that somehow makes them more magical.
Although he has a toddler bed, he prefers to sleep on the floor. He has claimed the ladybug pillow-pet as his pillow, but that's okay because it perfectly matches the blanket I finally finished crocheting sometime in the last year.
His favorite foods are bananas and bunny grahams.
When he is tired, hungry, or otherwise grumpy he turns in to Baby Hulk. Baby Hulk can be temporarily delayed but he can not be stopped. (For example, if you buy compliance with bunnies, then when the bunnies are gone and you don't want to give him more because it will ruin his dinner, the tantrum happens anyway.)
He has started listening to longer and longer books. His favorites are books that have songs in them. And he is developing a healthy appreciation for Dr. Seuss.
Horatio has just started saying short sentences, like, "Where car go?" My favorite things to hear him say, though, are other people's names. He calls his sister "Yaya," and we have just had some success recently getting him to say his own name. It comes out as "Rashe...oh." He has said, "Momma," for a while, but it still melts my heart when he yells, "Momma!" in his husky little voice while running towards me when I come home from work.
I love this boy!
