Listen Up

I have this extra bit of cartilage in my right ear. It is in the curved section near the top and makes a small line perpendicular to the edge of my ear. I have had it for as long as I can remember and kind of thought it might have resulted from an injury or other post-birth catalyst.

Nope.

Virginia has the same bit of cartilage in her right ear. It's genetic.

And just in case I needed more proof, Amanda noticed that our cousin Kieran has the same ear cartilage thing going on!

How far back in our ancestry does this go? We'll probably never know. But this weird trait has already secured its place with the next generation.
